It was negligence by the ‘government’ (Congress) delegating undelegable powers to the Fed and Executive over several administrations.

So it was in a sense ‘the government’ but not deregulation. What needs to be regulated is ‘the governnment’ i.e. the Fed, President’s Working Group on Financial Markets, Stabalization Fund (which injected $600 billion of credit into markets the day the House voted down the bailout bill) etc.

Write your reps to support HR 2755 to abolish the Fed after a one year wind down period. Drain the special interest pool.

Unless you think it is fine that an organization (the Fed) made up 100% of shareholders which are banks, many controlled by foreign banks, should have this roll in injecting credit, $700 billion in bailouts they did even before the bill, and producing and controlling the bailouts just voted in under duress.
